Comment on the Race Post

As you can tell I am still trying to figure out my blogspot! I thought I would write a bit about the race to begin with and it ended up at the end!! Then I fogot to compose for the last two pictures!! One is Brent and I at the finish together...and me with the race shirt and medal (the first half I have ran where they give out finisher medals). Well, at least I got the pictures in the right order this time!! Maybe there is hope?!? :-)

Here I come! This race was really nice and I felt really good today. My watch "said" that I finished in 2:18:18 (which I am going to go with). The race results according to the "chips" said i finished in 2:21. They had problems with the chips...Brent was not even posted in the results so had to contact them. So perhaps they messed up on the times, too?!? By the way, I finished 2nd in my age group in this race...so now I have a 1st, a 2nd, and a 3rd!

I think I was coming in this photo but I can't tell. I couldn't tell on my photos so thought I would post it just in case there was somethig cool. So...enjoy the cones and the big orange finish balloon!

And....ladies and gentlemen...her comes Brent! He won a special award for running this half and the Timp Half! I love running with this guy! Now we have St. George (Oct. 1st) to do and then Ragnar in Las Vegas (Oct. 21-22) and then we are going to take a nice long rest!

Brent and I decided to run another half-marathon together and registered for the inaugural Nebo Half. This run started up just above Payson Lakes and the route came down the canyon to the nice ballfield in Payson...just out of the canyon. I believe this was a 4,000 foot elevation drop! It was so beautiful in the canyon, was really cool, and pretty much downhill all the way. Here are some pictures from the race and finish!
