December Fun 2013

Putting the final touches on the tree!

The Holiday Train is up and running!

The Village is back...and the new addition is at the right rear.

It was great fun to watch Courtney compete at BYU in a swimming meet on Friday, December 6th! She is amazing and work so hard in this event which wasn't even her favorite and ended up going back that evening to participate in this event again.

That evening we had Abi and Maddy with us and you can tell they are enjoying the "Festival of Lights" in spanish Fork

Our tradition for years and years has been to go to the lights and then to McDonalds afterward for Chicken McNuggets...and that is just what we did!

All of us (missed Alex and Angie) enjoyed our fun tradition of Grandkids at the Movie on the first Saturday of December!. We love that all of the family that can join us! So glad Greg made it home to join us. The movie this year was "Frozen". It was really fun!

Afterwards we enjoyed a fun lunch at Red Robin across the street from the theatre!

Thanks for such fun memories everyone!!

Matthew and me hike the Peruvian Trail - July 16, 2013

Today Matthew and I had our "date" and hiked up the Peruvian Trail at Snowbird. It was steep and a bit of a butt-kicker but it was so much fun doing the hike with him! We did this hike two years ago and I am glad he chose this hike again!
Who's that good-lookin' guy on that trail going up...up...up?
The wildflowers were found in abundance so enjoy their beauty and the beauty of the Peruvian trail.

Yes, we had snow towards the top! Pretty good patch there...as you can see Matthew posing by. It was fun to put some on my face, neck, arms, and legs! Cool was good!
Matthew wrote in a patch of sand near the top..."Matthew was here" with the date...for all who would come after us!
Yeah! At the top...altitude 11,000 ft! Whew! I felt like kissing the ground when we summited!
This tram was just coming up to drop off its passengers. When it made its descent we were on it! Fun!
